Marketplace HELP privacy policy

Marketplace HELP is a free Chrome extension that helps you compare Facebook Marketplace listings. It is not affiliated with Meta or Facebook.

What stays on this device

The extension stores the following in Chrome’s local extension storage on this browser profile:

• Listing marks you choose: favorite, finalist, or undesired
• The order in which you marked finalists
• Notes you type on a listing
• Search phrases you save, and the Marketplace search address for each phrase
• A local photo count and view count for listings you open

Those values are tied to the numeric listing ID already present in the Marketplace page address. The extension reads listing photos on the page only so it can show the photo zoom on that page. It does not upload photos.

What is not collected

Marketplace HELP has no account, no analytics, and no server. It does not sell, transfer, or use this data for advertising. It does not collect health information, payment information, location, passwords, messages, or your Facebook account.

The Chrome storage permission saves the items above on this device. Access to https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/* is used only to add the extension’s controls on Marketplace pages.

How long it is kept

Data remains in this Chrome profile until you clear it by removing a mark, clearing a note, or uninstalling the extension. Uninstalling Marketplace HELP removes its local storage. Nothing is retained by the developer, because nothing is sent to the developer.

Limited use

Use of this information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The data is used only to provide the extension’s listing tools on this device. It is not sold or transferred, it is not used for advertising, and the developer cannot read it.
